For Minehead Middle School

For Minehead Middle School

There are flowers where the boy should be,

passing through the gate, into his parents arms, should be,

where the home time bell should be ringing,

singing, where end-of-term elation should be.

Instead, there's shocked silence where the families should be talking of Summer holidays,

should be,

the sound of sirens peal...please bring him home to me,

there is absence where the joy should be.
