Divine intervention

I'd like to share something else from the workshop I attended on Saturday with Jawbone, a stream of consciousness poem which came about through a warm-up exercise whereby Peter had a list of WORDS and dropped them one by one at random times over the course of a couple of minutes into the air for us to breathe in as we free wrote...this is exactly as it came into being on the day...Divine intervention? You decide ✨ 


Peter says start writing

We're here at Othona together

Women in a circle 

A VOICE calls to me across the divide 

It is divine -

BELIEVE in this situation

It will bring you joy in abundance

The ENERGY with which the day has begun 

So wild and free 

embrace it in your consciousness

For it is SACRED dear heart

Embrace this day

It has been given to you as the SUN

Bright for you and burning hot

Like your VITAL signs 

It is a sign for the progression of your consciousness

Your STORY comes in this chapter and

Needs to be written here,

Bless the ESSENCE of love in your heart

For it is embodied here

DISSOLVE all feelings of intrusion to your manifested dreams

There is a PATTERN in the cosmos 

There is a pattern in your life

Which needs to be spoken

Breathe the MESSAGE in and out

For it is here for you

Take it, breathe it,

Your BLOOD is flowing free of the MUSIC of time

And I will be with you

Regardless of all other forces.

TIME to be yourself 

Time to grow

Time to be.

This poem was created during a Jawbone 'Write to speak' workshop in Bridport on the 22nd June 2025. A writers workshop in the golden hour, in Glastonbury I sit and write As the Abbey House glows,  Gilded by the evening sun. At first we sat beneath an ornate gold ceiling In a room graced by nobles past, We sat on once soft furnishings,  On fabrics frayed, upholstery sagging,  Simply by the act of years of sitting. Pausing, then, was a luxury, reserved only for the rich,  So I sit and ponder my place...         I am here,         Graced by golden light and your presence,         Deserving of time and space, simply to be.   A Street-Cat Named Mower  (for pronunciation think Miaou-er) You were our Street Cat, Our Survival Instinct Cat, Our Scaredy Cat, at first Who ran in fits and bursts. Then you came in, for the kill, Laid mice at our patio-door sill Birds and dragonflies all made jam! Look how clever I am, I am! As no owner could be found, You persisted and gained ground Into our lean to, and our hearts. This is where our story starts. Litter trained? Definitely not! But no shit, when we got you we got a lot, Around the tray and underfoot! Trainers, slippers, welly boots. You'd always find a sunny spot In the garden, or hutch a-top With our bunnies you stretched out lean, To sleep, perchance to dream, no screams!
